Time and time again I hear, "if you do something you love, you'll never work a day in your life."
Is this true? And how hard is this to accomplish? Bottom line; you work to support yourself? We need our essentials to be met:
I think that's really it, but we have our own ideas of what is needed to be comfortable. Also better quality food comes at a higher price, clothes as well and so on... But just for a moment let's go back to love. "If you do something you love, you'll never work a day in your life." I went to school for Graphic Design, but my true love is writing. I also like to put songs together and write poetry. Graphic design was cool for me and fun but not 100% what I wanted to do. After graduating in December of 2003 from a college in Miami, I moved back to New York with a strong portfolio in print design, however the market was still suffering from 9/11 and people weren't hiring. I worked for myself for a while, but needed to pick up second jobs to support myself. Again Design is something I like but not 100% of what I love. But loving myself enough to know that I'm blessed gets me through every time. As long as I got food, clothes and shelter I'm good. But further down the line with a wife and children we find more responsibility. I love my wife, love my children hence I cherish my life, but loving them doesn't pay the bills or does it? One thing for sure is it gives me drive to make sure the bills are paid because now I must support more than myself. I think this is a common dilemma in society. I try to fix my mind on enjoying whatever job I'm doing to ensure my family is supported. That is where love plays the biggest part for me. "I do this for them." Many parents have said this to there children; "I do this for you." But back to living off of love. I write this for you because ultimately I love to write and share philosophical ideas. I do my best to help and learn along the way. So even if the job that pays isn't the one I love, I can still do what I love and contribute willingly, thus I'm still living with love and keeping it alive through my actions. Hope this has been helpful to anyone who is struggling with work and only looking for a release... Do something you love, it could become your job, and if it doesn't, still make time to do it for your enjoyment. If you feel that strongly about it, it's probably your purpose. In the "Four Agreements," Don Miguel Ruiz references White Magic and Black Magic. Black Magic is anytime you have negative intent towards another human being. When you use gossip to tarnish someone's image or wish bad things upon another person, etc. It's essentially casting a spell. Where in White Magic, you are embracing and uplifting another. Two examples are giving praise or support when someone is going through a difficult time. Of course there are many ways of transcending your energy, but you get the idea.
Also black and white magic is what we say to ourselves on the daily basis. But is there actually white magic and black magic or is there just magic? Everything we're connected to, we affect... and everything connected to us, affects us... In turn our magic is displayed through our choices, but I think with these choices along comes responsibility. White magic and black magic are real. However, the way we place our energy is applied by choice. Our energy is always with us, hence our magic affects all things. Should we be righteous with our magic? I believe as karma will reveal, the answer is yes. One thing for sure, we all need to realize and except the power of choice. By acknowledging the power we possess and making better choices, we can use our energy more effectively and contribute towards the world in a positive way. Why would you want to do anything else? Written by Ariel Flashman Dedicated to Humanity Simplicity, simplicity, simplicity...
Simplify, simplify, simplify... Keep it simple! If we look at things with a broad perspective, we can see how everything in the universe is connected. But if we look at human beings among all other species, we find that we are the most versatile. Notice I didn't say the smartest because though we can create, we also cause a lot of destruction. But focusing on our versatility, we can and will develop the greatest eco-friendly structures, medicines and unity for the world, which can only get better. Just look at the development of prosthetics. People who are missing all limbs can now function with mechanical parts as if they had all of their limbs in tact. We have even developed prosthetics for animals. There are eco-friendly bridges being built for animal crossing. Rooftop gardens and an uprising in organic produce. The focus seems to be shifting towards oneness of the world, so don't worry about those who are on a power-trip! Looking from the outside in, it would appear that humans are here on this earth to make it a better place and to maintain it. We certainly have the ability to do so. This is why I stress SIMPLIFICATION! I teach my children if they have food, water, shelter and clothing, then they are blessed. As a species, we should all realize this truth and if others don't have all of these necessities, we should help them. Shouldn't we all be so blessed? Through the ages I'm sure there was a point in time when the entire world shared this understanding. In fact it's quite simple isn't it? We have various religions where the basis of each one is the same and truly teaches love. So if religion is meant to spread love, then why does is separate us so much? It's the power of perspective! The power of Choice! "In the beginning there was the word and the word was with GOD and the word is God." To me this means our intent manifest through our words and thus becomes our creation. We choose what we wish to create. So what's the point in creating anything that will make others suffer or not flourish with us? Choice is always optional and the time is always now. If others are greedy, jealous or obnoxious, Love them anyway. Love is the greatest conqueror. Again; "HUMAN IS THE RACE AND THE RELIGION IS LOVE." Written by Ariel Flashman Dedicated to Humanity I'm a full-time dad, a full-time artist, I work full-time and still find time to exercise. I'm basically full-time all the time. Not trying to pride myself on the fact that I juggle life because I know many people in this world share the same or similar circumstances. However, I'm writing this blog to highlight some important items from my own experience.
At times I've tried to push myself to write when I wasn't inspired and found I couldn't force it. It may have been good practice, but other times my writing would come out flawlessly just because I was inspired. Which brings me to my point about balance. I make plans all the time, I'm a planner, but I make my plans with possible change in mind. Life is too full of change not to be flexible. Unexpected moments create great fruition and memorable times. For instance, last night I planned on working on a specific song. However while working on it, my vibe completely changed and I ended up creating a brand new work. The new work is completely different and still being developed, but it's coming out great. If I only focused on what I planned to do I would have never created a new project, which I'm exited about. The bottom line is I have kids, love my kids, love my wife, love my family and must make time to spend with them too. Plus I love myself and need some me time too... So Balance is extremely necessary when it comes to how I spend my time. I may or may not become rich as an artist or a writer, but so what! I do what I want when I want and I love my life. I spend my time living in the moments. Not to say none of us should work hard to develop ambitions, but be careful what you sacrifice because the one thing you can never get back is time. Balance and be well Written by Ariel Flashman Dedicated to Humanity OK, so if you don't know by now humans are connected now socially through the internet, which can be viewed as a blessing and a curse.
The Blessings: Communication and connectivity throughout the world to exchange great ideas. Faster ability to campaign and market products and/or services. Easier to become an overnight celebrity (YouTube sensation) Newer products and creativity is emerging Knowledge is found at a much faster pace The Curses: Some choose to put their dirty laundry out there for the world to see Employers make judgments and assumptions based on your FaceBook profile People are becoming physically disconnected Negative communication at lightening speed Social Engineering schemes have become more abundant I'm sure you can think of many other blessings and curses, but the question is how do we deal with the situation? Stating the obvious, we should use these advantages for the good in life, but many of us don't. Still we can all choose what we wish. Hence, my blog here. I wish to influence the world to use their energy for the blessings. For the positive. To help one another in this beautiful world. With the advances in technology we can help each other faster and make beautiful connections throughout the world instantly. So why not use it for good? Written by Ariel Flashman Dedicated to Humanity Sometimes its nice to just sit back, calm the noise and take your time. I'm at the point in my life where rushing is no longer an option. Ever notice when you rush, unneeded anxiety builds up and you end up forgetting something you needed?
I don't have anything to prove to anyone but myself and I've decided to accomplish what I wish to accomplish on my terms. I'm in control and for everything I don't control, God will provide. In my previous excerpt I talked about quieting the mind, meditation. Blank State is the ultimate zen moment of clarity. Peace and quietness. With this frame of mind we can experience core reflection. Reflection comes with acceptance. By accepting what is, my self reflection becomes clearer. It seems at times we need to clear the smoke screens that are all around us, but do they really exists or are are they only embedded in our own minds? We can blame the world for the introduction of such ideas, but ultimately we have the choice to accept things in our own perspectives. The power of choice. But back to the Blank State of mind. I find that I must release all that causes me stress and unnecessary pressure. Some say, give it to God or let God handle it or it's all in God's hands. Whether you believe in an almighty or just the universe itself, letting it all go serves the same purpose. Relieving your mind of all the world's pressures sends the energy back into the world. This allows us to find our Blank State, which is like a blank canvas, fresh, new and awaiting the artist to create something new once again. Whether you paint, write, act, sing, are a conversationalist, a motivational speaker, a mathematician, scientist, etc., we are all artists. We create new ideas and energies everyday and starting from a Blank State allows you to begin with ultimate freshness. Not to say, you can't work on a project continuously over time to build a divine creation. From my experience, projects can take days, weeks, months, even years, ask the writers of the world. But even when continuing such a lengthy project, a fresh view at the brink of day can give you just what you need. So free your mind, release all negativity and stress. You are not responsible for it all. Release the responsibility and find your Blank State. It' time to rebuild again. Written by Ariel Flashman Dedicated to Humanity Ever hear someone say, “Think before you speak”?
What does it mean to you? This day and age most people feel overwhelmed with responsibility and strict schedules. Especially in New York, everyone’s in a rush going nowhere fast. Why such a rush to end up at the same place at the same time anyway… We should embrace our day everyday. Whether you pray, sit in silence, etc. Meditate on the opportunity of the day. Be grateful for the gift of life. Also at the end of the day, we should close the day with grace and gratitude, even if the day unfolded not according to our plans. There’s always tomorrow and all we ever have is “Right Now.” And please remember to breathe. Breathing is key for us to control our energy and timing before we disperse our energy. When switching tasks, we can meditate beforehand as well. It is necessary for us to separate our visions of the past and most recent past in order to focus on now. Which becomes what we will create. Which brings us back to thinking before we speak. Have you ever been in a conversation, where you finish someone’s sentence before they finish speaking? Maybe you feel you already know everything the person is going to say and make up your mind after the person’s first few words. This is kind of disrespectful to the person speaking as well as the half listener. I’m speaking from experience. I’ve noticed that whenever I have done this, not only have I missed something the person was saying, but now I realize that even my body language did not reflect the attentiveness needed when truly listening. Working in Customer Service for many years, I’ve learned the true meaning of active listening. We must quite our minds and focus on what the person is saying even when it feels like it’s something we already know. In communication there must be a mutual respect between the corresponding parties in order for people to leave satisfied. By actively listening to a person, the person will feel more comfortable and may elaborate further. This also gives you the listener the chance to ask important questions if needed to gain a clear understanding. So meditate, there is no need to rush. Our brains are capable of using our time very efficiently. No one person is wasting our time. Each chance to communicate or listen expands our human connection. Hence, being a good listener is the biggest part of communication because it opens the two-way communication that leads to innovation. For instance, brainstorming in a group will never thrive without mutual respect and active listening. Maybe we should all take a moment of silence to breathe for up to five minutes before every meeting. People can be then relax and release whatever is going on in their lives before engaging in the meeting. Even though many corporations will not take the time, we as individuals can arrive early, sit in our car or in a lobby and close our eyes to focus on what is to come. That way we can embrace any new circumstance or situation we are about to embark on. This is life, this is the journey and on the way, we must listen to each other. Empathy and sympathy go miles in comforting people and open ideas. So take your time, mediate on what people are saying to you. Embrace people like you embrace the day and when you finish a conversation close the conversation the same way you would close the day. Stay humble with grace and gratitude. Written by Ariel Flashman Dedicated to Humanity Do you need a book to tell you right from wrong?
Do you need a person to tell you that it is not right to judge people? Do you have eyes to see the beauty of the world? Did anyone ever tell you not to trust yourself? Do you believe what you hear? Do you hear voices in your head? We are all products of what we tell ourselves. No matter what we go through in life, we choose how we handle every situation. I would go as far as saying perspective is each person’s individual reality. Perspective; “Is the cup half full or half empty?” or “What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger.” The choice is always yours and what you tell yourself determines the outcome, whether immediate, short term, long term, etc. Think of our lives as if each one is a circle. All your routines, thoughts, actions, everything about you is your circle. It is only natural that like circles will overlap and combine at times. Hence, the more positive you are, the more positive people will come into your life. If you are negative then it's vice versa and we all know; “Misery loves company.” And don't forget; “The crabs in the bucket theory.” But do we take ownership for circumstances? Do we blame God or ask God for help? Or just let everything happen to us and think nothing is of our own doing? What about self-pity? Does feeling sorry for yourself help you at all? Personally, I thank God every day for this beautiful world and the gift of life. We have the choice of how to view this world, others, and ourselves. Whether or not we wish to make the best of things is a personal choice. If we pursue our lives with love and compassion, even if we find ourselves up against negativity repelling our value, it’s OK. Consistency always perseveres and you can't go wrong for doing right. Ultimately we persist no matter what, but the direction is up to us. I do feel there is such a thing as good and evil in the world. The whispers of our ears are there sitting on both shoulders, but we can choose which voices to hear. I’ve told my own mind to be quiet when catching myself judging someone or making an assumption about another person. Who are we to decide what a person's role is in a given situation. Even though at times we must make these types of decisions, the biggest struggle in life is truly within us. May we cherish ourselves enough and thank God enough to have the eyes to see the beauty of the world. Everything is everything and what is going to take place, will, whether we like it or not. So we may as well choose to see things in a light of less suffering or none at all. Or would you rather spend time in worry and fear? The choice is yours. Just remember, worry and fear are the biggest advisers of misery. So why would you willingly want to spend time in that state of mind? I know I don’t! Written by Ariel Flashman Dedicated to Humanity Calculating the amount of time I spent working during the workweek gave me huge insight on my work life balance.
I calculated my days and weeks and you guessed it; like everyone else in this world, I found the majority of the workweek was spent at work. (big surprise, but listen to the point) Roughly ten hours a day are spent at work including travel to and from. Additionally I try to gain about seven to eight hours of sleep per night and about one to two hours exercising. This leaves me with approximately four hours to take care of dinner and the children. Thank God for my wife whom is a great help with dinner and taking care of the house and kids. At a significant point in my life I found myself calculating how I spend my time and trying to determine the best way to spend it. (How to get the most value out of my time) Approximately forty-five hours a week are spent at work, so I may as well like the people I work with otherwise the majority of my time would be spent suffering. I used to have a fairly well paying job, but the department I worked in just wasn’t the right fit for me. There was more preach than practice and barley any direction at all. I couldn’t relate to the managers and didn't feel any real support. I saw managers making actions just to justify their positions, but none of their actions truly engaged the team as is was mostly a lot of smoke. I found common ground with fellow colleagues, but there was a sense of fear where people just accepted the way things were because the pay was good. Ironically, most of these people complained all day, including the manager I reported to. Communication felt forced throughout the entire department. To top it off, I wasn’t given credit for specific work I completed, nor process improvements I created. I felt it was a shame because the company had a lot to offer, but unfortunately when companies get to big, focus can shift to numbers and away from people. Needless to say, I needed a change. I applied to other jobs but told myself I wouldn’t accept any job offer until I found the right fit. Eventually, I resigned and took a chance to relocate, but that fell through. I ended up back at square one, but I had enough to cover me for a few months to make the change I wanted in my life. After a few interviews and job offers, I finally came across a place that felt great from the start. I accepted the position and became quickly acquainted with my new colleagues. I embraced my new work family and was able to come to work with my usual positive outlook and received the proper respect. This is the way we should feel when we go to work everyday. Though the difference in pay was quite less, it still had enough to pay my bills. Besides, I don't live above my means and I'm grateful for all that I have. Plus being happy to go to work made such a difference in my work life balance. And feeling good about what I'm doing will help me excel wherever I am. The bottom line is we all work to live though a few may live to work, it’s still really all based the value of time. And how can you value your time if you don’t enjoy it with the people you spend it with? Perspective is a most valuable tool because we can choose to embrace people or negate people. If you embrace people, you will see and bring the best out of them. If you negate or resist people you will push them away and create an unfriendly environment. This is certainly important for higher ups and managers that have people reporting to them. When dealing with direct reports it is important to create an approachable environment. Bosses who carry hostile mentalities that degrade their employees do not incentivize creativity or passion from their employees. “What I say goes,” or “Because I said so,” just doesn’t work anymore. (Negative attitudes in general don't work and leaders need to lead by example) How can any business thrive in such an environment and lack of culture? This day and age, we need to be more team based and empathetic to human life. None of us are so different. We all need to eat, protect our skin with clothes and use shelter from the weather. It's pretty basic. Unrealistic and irrational thoughts/ideas are made up in one’s own mind and the only person who can change that mind is the one who owns it. It doesn't matter where the influence came from. We all have Choice. So back to the topic at hand, embracing people. Previously I’ve written about ownership and truth in value, though the title of this written work is “Work Family,” it is really about embracing people. In regards to your work family, if you do your best to embrace them, but the culture in the workplace is stagnant and resistant to change and you are unhappy there, you must be the one to make a change. At least that's what I've learned from my experience. If you value your life, you will not wish to spend the majority of your time in an unpleasant environment just for the sake of a paycheck. You can survive, you will survive and all you’ve got to do is try. Sometimes we have to sacrifice, but weigh it out. Value yourself and make sure your time is well spent. If you believe in yourself and apply your energy efficiently, you can create peace in your life. Measure your time and place your value on the quality of life for yourself and those around you. Don't make choices solely based on income! (You can be rich and unhappy too) Income, in it may come but out it goes, so choose to enjoy today, everyday and don't waste your energy in negativity or around negative environments. You have choices to make. You can surely find people out there that you will love to embrace and they will love to embrace you too. Find your Work Family. Written by Ariel Flashman Dedicated to Humanity Value - To consider with respect to worth, excellence, usefulness, or importance. What do you value? How do you value? Why do you value? Within human life there are three main areas of value that come from necessity. Food, shelter and clothing. Food, including drink such as water, is of greatest importance due to the fact that no one can live without it. Our bodies reflect the nutrients digested and when provided appropriately we are able flourish. Thus ingesting the wrong foods, such as processed unnatural items cause health implications. Unconscious decisions of what we eat may certainly harm us in the long run. Hence, the saying, “You are what you eat.” I was once told all food not created from God is unhealthy. (Natural foods) Think about it, this makes sense! Either way food is essential to life, thus this should be a top priority and respected with great value. So please appreciate your food, bless your food, share your food, for the food you consume will be first to bless you back. Second is shelter, which is a means to protect our physical bodies from the natural elements, such as rain, snow, hail, etc. From the very beginning, Mankind has used caves, built huts, up to modern-day skyscrapers as tall as 163 floors, such as The “Burj Khalifa ” in Dubai completed in 2009. Still no matter the size of the structure, humans need to protect their bodies and most importantly our skin, which leads to another very important necessity, clothes. Clothes can be made from animal hide, cotton, to many other types of fabric. Clothes keep the human body warm, some suits are waterproof, and we even have space suits to explore outer space. Clothing includes shoes that protect our feet as well, which is very important since humans walk upright. No matter the stitching, the fabric or quality, we wear clothes to protect our skin, but in this day in age style has become the greater influence. Unfortunately quality may be diluted and people will still pay more for the style or dependent on Brand names. Focusing back to value, one may question if value has a price? What type of price range? Or do we place a price on what we value? Do we value material? Why? When we purchase clothes for instance, the fact that it is covering our bodies identifies the value. Of course if we’re facing colder temperatures the warmer the clothes, increases the value. However, living in a commercial and materialized society, style now seems to contribute to value. But is this point of value fictitious? Let’s take a closer look. Say you need to buy a sweater to keep you warm for a winter in New York. I'll give you to options for case and point. You can buy a sweater at a local thrift shop for $10 or buy a high-end overpriced sweater for $200 that looks really nice. The sweater from the thrift shop may be used and you should probably wash it once before you wear it, but if it’s warm and you purchased it for $10, I think there will be some significant value. On the other hand, let’s say you purchase the high-end sweater for $200 because it’s very fashionable, but it’s not as warm as the $10 Thrift shop sweater. On a really cold day in New York, which one holds more value? And then at a nice party, which one holds more value? There may be some value to the $200 sweater at the party if you get a few compliments and make yourself noticed, but how true is this value when you go back outside and face freezing temperatures? So should you dress to impress other people or dress out of necessity? Good question, but each of us believes a different truth. I have style enough to get compliments and I shop clearance! Just saying... Now I’d like to discuss the value of gifts. Have you been given gifts? What do you do with your gifts? Do you value your gifts? Through my life I’ve realized that one of my strongest gifts is that of communication. I can honestly say, I love helping and communicating with people. Over time I’ve learned the best way to do this is by not judging people, actively listening and addressing each situation without bias. By taking the time to understand people, I know I can be a great help. Even when I meet a disgruntled person, it doesn’t matter the way I meet that person, but I value how they feel when they leave me. This is why I enjoy writing so much. I wish to communicate with you, the reader and hopefully give you something to relate to, value or learn. As I get to know myself more, I realize the importance of my gift and thus wish to share it with the world everyday. I'm also a very passionate person and produce songs as well, but that's another story. Besides me, everyone has gifts, so make sure you find yours and realize the impact your gift has. Join the mission of love and use it to empower the world. That is how you will find the true value of your gift. Which leads us to the gift of Giving. Do you give? Do you find value in giving? Do others value your giving? Let's dive in to the topic of giving. Don’t we all want to give by nature? If you meet a small child and you need something they have, they have the urge to give it to you without question. But as we get older we seem to question the value of giving more and more. But what greater value can you find in life more than giving, especially to a person in need. There is great joy in solving dilemmas and when someone is in dire need, it feels that much better to help or save that person. Karma is real and works beautifully in this world. When you give, you are blessed back every time. Not just with the joy of helping, but you will attract good things to happen to you just by your actions. Sharing harmonious energy will only repay you. This is the Law of Attraction. Now just because you saved a person or helped a person out of a bind does not mean that moment will last forever. Even if the person forgets what you did for them, it doesn’t matter. You have the chance to do it again! All that matters is what you did when you did it and if the energy was well spent? That is the gift in itself. Giving is the prize. Don’t give and expect something in return or the value will truly diminish. And does value diminish??? Here's another question, does holding on to things increase value or increase fear? And does fear decrease freedom? When you purchase a material object it has a certain value, a certain worth to you. It can mean a lot or a little to you, but if you loose this item or it breaks, feeling pain is a choice. Is this value real? And is this pain self-inflicted? What do you value in your heart? As I stated before, the essentials are the biggest value in life. When you are starving and food is supplied to you, you find great value. If it’s hailing outside and shelter is provided to you, great value is found. If you are freezing in the middle of winter and warm clothes are supplied to you, great value is appreciated. So why should we spend so much time on fictitious value of new things we don’t have when we already have all that we need? And shouldn’t the true value be in making sure all people have what they need? If you are wealthy now and don't appreciate the little things in life, but lose it all tomorrow and have no where to turn to, I guarantee your sense of value will be immensely changed. Money is a tool in a barter system and somewhere along the way the view of money became more important than necessity. At least maybe for some? Although money creates power to purchase, which can be applies towards necessities and other items as well, just remember; whether or not you have money, money doesn’t care about you. If your essentials are met, you're blessed! Find value in your gifts and place your worth on this earth. Peace and Blessings to all. How will you leave your mark in this world? Will you be a good example for our boys and girls? Look inside and choose wisely Live in the truth and life is provided Reflected by your state of mind Connected to other lines One Love, One World To all, please be kind Written by Ariel Flashman Dedicated to Humanity Own - belonging to oneself
Ship - a vessel Taking ownership is to own the vessel of one’s self. Though we’re connected as one to a shared world, we are all individuals to which we must take ownership. My body, my mind, my actions… Our body is the vessel to which we operate, but this vessel has many composing parts. Our body carries out the movement of which our minds direct. When we act or react, we must realize that the actions solely belong to each of us. Though our minds can be influenced, each individual has the ultimate choice to be influenced. An example; your spouse says; “you look great today.” The purpose of the words was to make you feel good, but it’s truly your choice to feel how you wish to feel. How you react is your choice? You can say thank you and admire yourself or cling to a belief that you barely look average and feel very tired. Each individual ultimately chooses how to feel and our realties are comprised of the choices we make. As we become more in tune with our minds, we find that we have options to self-create. Another example is of two people that can sing. One is born with a natural voice, but never did anything with it other than sing in the shower, which we will call "Person A." The other was not born with a beautiful voice and we will call them "Person B." But Person B decided early in life that they wanted to be a singer. Therefore, they took vocal training classes and practiced everyday until the day came that they could sing a delightful harmony. Per all the energy and action placed into the idea of becoming a singer, Person B becomes a performing artist later in life. Meanwhile, Person A, though born with the naturally beautiful voice works in a grocery mart, which is perfectly fine because it is their choice to do so. Seems we are all products of choices and actions. Though we may be filled with great ideas, without action there is not manifestation, which is exemplified in the previous example of the two singers. The biggest way we as human beings need to have ownership is in the way we treat one another. From other human beings, animals, even material objects, we expel energy and each individual owns and contributes into a shared world. (Universe) We must own our energies and actions for no one is innocent of their contribution to the world. Some may be ignorant, some may choose to be ignorant, some yet to be enlightened, but once you reach the realization of your actions and their results, you are no longer innocent and are now responsible. Owning our responsibilities shouldn’t seem to be a heavy task. I feel "Choice" is a God given gift. The ability for humans to think is the ultimate creative tool given by the creator, thus allowing us to self-create and build externally with infinite possibility. How do we embrace these possibilities, and what good or bad can come from our actions? We see the results in everyday life. Negative emotions, which can be described as sins, negate positive efforts made to the world. Some refer to these traits as evil. I view the terms "Evil" and "Live" as polar opposites. In fact using the written language of English displays “Evil” spelled backwards is “Live.” And to live is to bring life or continue life. Thus anything condemning or resisting life is Evil. Positive emotions and energies contribute to the good in life. Still this depends on actions reciprocating the choices each individual makes. Another concept related to ownership is time. Bad decisions can’t be undone because it remains in the past and leaves a mark. Yet a lesson from a negative action can help us learn to make better decisions in the present, which is connected to our near future. Thus when we make bad decisions, if we forgive ourselves, we can move forward in a positive direction if we choose to. Life as a whole is a reflection of our actions, which is relative to how we spend our time. If the majority of our actions are negative throughout our lifetime, a negative force is shared with the world. The mark is made. Vice Versa, we can be a positive force in the world by using one's free will. So whether you believe in a higher power, are religious or not, the fact that we share this world and are connected remains an intangible truth. Ignorance is ultimately a choice and the actions of such will be the result of you the individual left in the world. We are responsible for our actions/energy and the impact that it leaves behind. Sharing energy is a gift. Let's individually recognize the power each of us posses and make strong contributions to our shared planet. In the current year of 2016, ideas are evolving as the human species is developing further to correct pollution left behind by prior generations. Much of this was caused by greed and the illusionary need for power. Negative energy transferred to negative actions leaving behind negative impacts. If we don’t learn from the past, we’re damned to repeat it. Each of us is responsible to own our actions. Thus I choose to move my vessel in the direction of Peace and Love. I wish to have my actions leave a mark behind for the present and future of mankind. Ownership: Own-Your-Ship Written by Ariel Flashman Dedicated to Humanity |
