Own - belonging to oneself
Ship - a vessel Taking ownership is to own the vessel of one’s self. Though we’re connected as one to a shared world, we are all individuals to which we must take ownership. My body, my mind, my actions… Our body is the vessel to which we operate, but this vessel has many composing parts. Our body carries out the movement of which our minds direct. When we act or react, we must realize that the actions solely belong to each of us. Though our minds can be influenced, each individual has the ultimate choice to be influenced. An example; your spouse says; “you look great today.” The purpose of the words was to make you feel good, but it’s truly your choice to feel how you wish to feel. How you react is your choice? You can say thank you and admire yourself or cling to a belief that you barely look average and feel very tired. Each individual ultimately chooses how to feel and our realties are comprised of the choices we make. As we become more in tune with our minds, we find that we have options to self-create. Another example is of two people that can sing. One is born with a natural voice, but never did anything with it other than sing in the shower, which we will call "Person A." The other was not born with a beautiful voice and we will call them "Person B." But Person B decided early in life that they wanted to be a singer. Therefore, they took vocal training classes and practiced everyday until the day came that they could sing a delightful harmony. Per all the energy and action placed into the idea of becoming a singer, Person B becomes a performing artist later in life. Meanwhile, Person A, though born with the naturally beautiful voice works in a grocery mart, which is perfectly fine because it is their choice to do so. Seems we are all products of choices and actions. Though we may be filled with great ideas, without action there is not manifestation, which is exemplified in the previous example of the two singers. The biggest way we as human beings need to have ownership is in the way we treat one another. From other human beings, animals, even material objects, we expel energy and each individual owns and contributes into a shared world. (Universe) We must own our energies and actions for no one is innocent of their contribution to the world. Some may be ignorant, some may choose to be ignorant, some yet to be enlightened, but once you reach the realization of your actions and their results, you are no longer innocent and are now responsible. Owning our responsibilities shouldn’t seem to be a heavy task. I feel "Choice" is a God given gift. The ability for humans to think is the ultimate creative tool given by the creator, thus allowing us to self-create and build externally with infinite possibility. How do we embrace these possibilities, and what good or bad can come from our actions? We see the results in everyday life. Negative emotions, which can be described as sins, negate positive efforts made to the world. Some refer to these traits as evil. I view the terms "Evil" and "Live" as polar opposites. In fact using the written language of English displays “Evil” spelled backwards is “Live.” And to live is to bring life or continue life. Thus anything condemning or resisting life is Evil. Positive emotions and energies contribute to the good in life. Still this depends on actions reciprocating the choices each individual makes. Another concept related to ownership is time. Bad decisions can’t be undone because it remains in the past and leaves a mark. Yet a lesson from a negative action can help us learn to make better decisions in the present, which is connected to our near future. Thus when we make bad decisions, if we forgive ourselves, we can move forward in a positive direction if we choose to. Life as a whole is a reflection of our actions, which is relative to how we spend our time. If the majority of our actions are negative throughout our lifetime, a negative force is shared with the world. The mark is made. Vice Versa, we can be a positive force in the world by using one's free will. So whether you believe in a higher power, are religious or not, the fact that we share this world and are connected remains an intangible truth. Ignorance is ultimately a choice and the actions of such will be the result of you the individual left in the world. We are responsible for our actions/energy and the impact that it leaves behind. Sharing energy is a gift. Let's individually recognize the power each of us posses and make strong contributions to our shared planet. In the current year of 2016, ideas are evolving as the human species is developing further to correct pollution left behind by prior generations. Much of this was caused by greed and the illusionary need for power. Negative energy transferred to negative actions leaving behind negative impacts. If we don’t learn from the past, we’re damned to repeat it. Each of us is responsible to own our actions. Thus I choose to move my vessel in the direction of Peace and Love. I wish to have my actions leave a mark behind for the present and future of mankind. Ownership: Own-Your-Ship Written by Ariel Flashman Dedicated to Humanity
